Healing Grace is pleased to welcome Kimberly Bell as an intern beginning in January, 2017. Kimberly received her Bachelor of Science degree from Rockhurst University in 1997 with a degree in Biology. Kimberly is now in the master’s program for counseling at Mid-America Nazarene University where she is set to graduate in spring, 2018 with an emphasis in marriage, couple and family counseling.
Before she decided to return to graduate school Kimberly worked in the medical field as a triage telephone nurse and medical assistant in a busy doctor’s office. It was while working in this job that Kimberly learned the importance of caring for the emotional needs along with the physical needs of those who are hurting. From this experience she found she had an intense desire to learn more about how she can focus on counseling as a profession.
Kimberly is finding she enjoys working with individuals, couples and families particularly utilizing emotion focused therapy (EFT) while integrating the best of Rogerian psychotherapy along the way. Kimberly considers it an honor to share in the journey of helping others heal and become the best they can be.
Kimberly is also a busy mom to twin boys (age11) who love to play baseball. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.
