Alison received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Alison offers a welcoming and collaborative approach to her clinical practice.   

Alison is deeply committed to supporting underrepresented individuals and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. She empowers children, adults, and couples to navigate life's challenges and take ownership of their stories. With experience in addressing anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, sexuality/gender concerns, and persistent shame, Alison is dedicated to partnering with clients on their unique journeys toward growth and healing.

Alison employs Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) through a trauma-informed lens as her primary theoretical orientation. She believes in helping clients embrace their values and practice acceptance as pathways to meaningful change. Alison's approach is characterized by curiosity, creativity, and compassion, ensuring a supportive and innovative therapeutic experience.

Outside of counseling, you can find Alison exploring Kansas City, dancing at a concert, or watching a horror flick at home with her cat. She finds her peace through writing, walking, and scrapbooking.
