Kathryn Simpson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Her previous career experience includes support with women within perinatal healthcare, work within a pediatric setting supporting parents in the NICU as well as support with parents of children with complex medical issues. Her current training includes working towards certification in both Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Play Therapy, with a broad interest in working with a diverse population of clients.

Kathryn obtained her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 1999, and subsequently her Masters in Social Work at the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare in 2002. She continues to follow the guiding principle of strengths based theory, with the belief in self determination and inherent resiliency, which has guided her practice throughout her 20 year career.

In her time away from work, Kathryn finds joy in being a wife and a mother of two boys. She is passionate about spending time outdoors hiking, camping, biking, and experiencing new places through travel.
