Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Education: Guidance and Counseling from Northwest Missouri State University. She is a former school counselor with 13 years of experience working with young children from diverse backgrounds. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the private practice setting after serving students with a variety of needs such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other social-emotional issues.  

Kelly also holds a Certificate in Play Therapy from MidAmerica Nazarene University. She believes in using the therapeutic powers of play to facilitate healing. She uses both child-centered and goal-oriented approaches to help clients express their emotions, increase self-acceptance, and enhance their relationships with others. Additionally, Kelly enjoys using other evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques. 

Through her warmth and compassion, Kelly creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can navigate the complexities of their world. She is passionate about journeying with children and their families to unlock their full potential for connection, growth, and healing. 

Outside of work, Kelly leads a busy life with her husband and three young children. Their family enjoys being active, spending time outdoors, and relaxing at the lake. Kelly finds the greatest fulfillment in her faith, family life, and mission to help others.
