Leslie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UMKC in 1996.  She earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Mid-America Nazarene University's CACREP Counseling program in 2017. She is  both a licensed school counselor and a PLPC.

For the past 5 years Leslie has worked as a School Counselor in the public school system at the Elementary level.  She is licensed to work Pre-K through 12th grades in both Missouri and Kansas.

Previously, Leslie worked in residential care at Spofford, and has facilitated small groups for the Joshua Center. Most recently, She has been providing counseling to children, and adolescents/teens who are in foster care. 

Leslie is passionate about helping others find and develop skills that help them be successful in life.  She uses her training in the areas of trauma, DBT, CBT, ADHD, anxiety, sand-tray, and play therapy techniques to build the best interventions for each client.

In her free time Leslie enjoys spending time with her family.  She enjoys spending time at the lake and loves the ocean.  She loves animals, crochet and learning new things.
