Mia received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Illinois State University and currently pursuing a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at UMKC. Mia brings a holistic and empathetic approach to her counseling practice.
Throughout her experience, Mia enjoys working with teens, young adults, and adults transitioning into retirement. She has demonstrated a deep understanding of the impact that anxiety, life transitions, and relationship stress can have on one's well-being. She is committed to providing a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their concerns, develop coping strategies, and cultivate resilience in the face of challenges.
Drawing from her own experiences and passions, Mia strives to create a warm, inclusive, and empathetic therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their concerns and aspirations. She is dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and growth. She believes in the power of self-discovery, self-expression, and self-compassion in navigating life's challenges and transitions.
Outside of Mia’s counseling practice, she finds joy in spending time with friends, family, and her significant other. Additionally, she finds happiness in spending time with her dogs. In her leisure time, she enjoys doing her nails, choreographing dances, and unwinding with her favorite TV shows. She believes in the importance of self-care, creativity, and finding moments of joy in everyday life.
