Sean received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Kansas in December 2009 and subsequently completed his Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 2012.  As part of these programs, he performed dual internships at both the Baker University Counseling Center and the KU University Career Center. Among his extracurriculars in graduate school, Sean was the Master’s President of the CPSO student organization and the program coordinator for the CLEOS Positive Psychology Laboratory where he recruited nearby high schools to participate in research studies at KU. He administered and interpreted data from numerous types of assessments and conducted counseling sessions during the project.

Sean is experienced in working with individuals and couples, suffering from various issues such as depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol abuse, trauma and relationship struggles. He also has extensive experience working with career counseling needs. Mental health therapy is a beloved passion of Sean’s, as it gives him great fulfillment to build relationships and assist those in need.

Sean’s therapy style can be described as a mix of Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused methods with a heavy emphasis on Positive Psychology.

Sean describes himself as an avid sports fan (particularly KU basketball and KC Chiefs Football). He is also a huge animal lover and enjoys spending as much time as possible with friends and family.
