Taylor received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and is pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Couples and Family Therapy at University of Missouri at Kansas City.
Taylor enjoys counseling kids, teens, adults, and couples, as well as families. Her frame of reference is a holistic, client-centered approach and she is specializing in using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Gottman Method for couples’ therapy. Taylor has helped clients with a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, binge-eating disorder, burnout, and religious trauma. She also has experience helping couples with a range of problems and has helped couples through pre-marital counseling. She welcomes clients of all backgrounds.
Before starting her training to become a counselor, Taylor worked as a Certified Medical Laboratory Technician for 5 years in Nebraska. After moving to Kansas City with her husband, Taylor returned to college to pursue her dream of becoming a therapist.
Taylor is passionate about helping people create and live their most rich, meaningful life. Taylor is also fervent about assisting couples in creating and maintaining loving, healthy relationships. She believes in meeting clients where they are when they enter the therapeutic space.
Taylor enjoys spending time with her husband, her two dogs, and her cat. She loves nature walks, reading, drinking coffee, listening to music and podcasts, creating essential oil blends, and spending time with friends and family.
